Restore ID from backup on iPhone

    Hi,
    My iPhone broke but I had backed it up. I had also backed up the Threema ID and checked the flag "Include in phone backup".
    When I restored my iphone backup to my new iphone the Threema app was restored, but not the ID.

    How do I restore the Threema ID from the iphone backup? What are the exact steps?

    After restoring the iPhone backup, make sure that the latest version of Threema is running (check via AppStore). Then, when starting Threema the next time, restore should be possible (should pop up automatically at startup).
    A deprecated version of the Threema App was the root cause why I could not properly carry out the ID restore process: iTunes restored the iPhone by using an old version of the Threema app that was saved on the PC before Threema supported the ID backup. After having had updated Threema to the latest version, restore of the Threema ID was carried out!

    Unfortunately I didn't get a popup after restoring. I tried deleting threema and reinstalling but that didn't help. I've always updated Threema immediately an update was available.

    I don't know if it's worth the effort and if it will finally work, but what about (a) restoring the iPhone from the backup once again, (b) then immediately updating Threema to the latest version via AppStore update, and (c) then starting Threema for the first time?
    If there is an ID backup available, Threema will automatically notify you about that and offer to restore the ID - that was at least my experience when upgrading from iPhone 4S to iPhone 6...
    No guarantees that it will work, but I have no further ideas...
