    Please check that at Threema > Settings > About Threema it says Google Play after the version number. Otherwise you have bought the app somewhere else (it will still be listed in the Google Play Store for some odd reason). If you made sure that you have bought the app at the Google Play Store, you can follow the instructions at https://threema.ch/en/faq/gpstore.


    If you have a different Google Account, it is best if you try to find a way to contact Google Support or just buy the app again.

  • It says Google play and I looked through my old google play acct and it is not listed. Not in any of them. I paid for it already so why should i pay for it again? I am trying to find a phone number for Threema but there is none. I just don't know what to do.

    So you can't prove that you paid for it.

    Send an E-Mail. But without prove, that and where you bought Threema, they can't do anything for you.

    If it's not listed, then you must have bought it using a different Google account.


    This is a limitation of Google Play, there's nothing Threema can do about it because app purchases are always linked with a specific Google Account (and to my knowledge cannot be transferred to a different Google account). Google Play only offers updates if you're logged in with the same Google account that originally bought the app.
