When we delete a message on threema, is it deleted for me only or for my message recipient and I? If for me only, is there a way to delete it for both of us?

It‘s deleted on your device only. Presently, there is no way to delete a message on the recipient‘s device.

Yes, fortunately Threema does not offer such a feature. It's a well known fact that it is simply not possible on both Android and iOS to reliably delete messages on the other end. Any operating system leaves traces of the messages in the notification log even if they have been deleted.
A feature you can't rely on and that only gives you a false sense of security has no place in a secure messaging app.
